IMPORT & EXPORT STAFF
RESPONSIBILITIES
- IMPORT
1. Handle sea import shipment:
– Handle pre-alert docs, E-MNF, A/N, D/O, payment, invoicing, P.O.D, shipment log…
– Do track & trace, keep updating shipment status to customer.
– Follow instructions from sales/agents if any special requirements (cargo insurance, extend free time …).
– Arrange messenger to take & deliver original docs.
– Close file timely.
– Create and update SOP for each customer.
– Handle complaints, problems.
– Report problems to team leader.
2. Others:
– Arrange back up in pair with teammates.
– Rotate job with teammates if assigned by team leader.
– Co-operate with front office to push for docs required (SOP, job scope, contact list, cost sheet, quotation…).
– Closely follow up with ops team to make sure logistics service meet deadline.
– Other tasks if assigned by team leader. - EXPORT
1. Handle sea export shipments:
– Request booking from carriers & release booking to customer
– Issue Bill of lading.
– Submit SI, VGM to carrier.
– File AMS/ISF/ACI/AFR if any.
– Issue debit note, credit note & settle payment to carriers/co-loader/partners.
– Send pre-alert, loading confirmation, P.O.D, shipment log…
– Keep tracking vessel status & updating to customer, agent.
– Follow instructions from front office if any special requirements (cargo insurance, Fumigation, free time applying…).
– Arrange messenger to take & deliver original docs.
– Close file timely.
– Create and update SOP for each customer.
– Handle daily complaints & problems.
– Report problems to Head of Department.
2. Others:
– Arrange back up in pair with teammates.
– Rotate job with teammates if assigned by Head of Department.

– Closely follow up with ops team to make sure logistics service meet deadline.
